This Nomad Defense Upper Parts Kit consists of the highest quality parts. After several years of relentless testing, we are able to offer an upper parts kit that meets or exceeds OEM quality in every way possible. Fit and function for this Gen5 upper kit is unrivaled–we know because we’ve tested just about everything the market has to offer, looking for a perfect kit to offer to our customers.
A quality striker is the highlight of any good upper parts kit, and that’s no different here. We chose to offer a smooth polished billet striker, cut to exacting tolerances. While MIM parts (Metal Injection Molded), can be produced to very high quality standards, there is no arguing that when done right, quality CNC billet strikers will perform more consistently and more reliably over time. Light primer strikes, heavy/gritty trigger pull, and inconsistent cycling are very often caused by poor quality and out of tolerance strikers.
Consistent performance is almost guaranteed with just about any Gen5 slide on the market. The importance of every component has been given attention, so the parts in this kit pair together in perfect harmony.
This Upper Parts Kit works well with Nomad Defense Gen5 Slides, and this kit is also your best bet for reliability in just about any aftermarket Gen5 slide, or even factory Glock® Gen5 slides.

As with all custom and aftermarket firearms builds, it’s important that a qualified gunsmith perform the work. Proper function and safety checks MUST be performed before and live fire testing.

Looks good. I can feel a difference with the billet striker vs OEM which is a little bit grittier. Nomads is definitely smoother. All parts are machined with high QC and the billet back plate is a nice touch vs the polymer from Glock.
I’ll be swapping this in all my glocks.

Every Nomad part I own is better than OEM. I run the 9 and 9X frames. They are both worlds better than a standard Glock. Even the new Gen 6. The upper parts kits run flawlessly. Same goes for the lower parts kits. I have the Boombayah trigger in one frame. It is really good. I use it on my daily carry now. I am waiting for them to go back in stock so I can swap out my $200 trigger for it. The Hybrid Guide Rod has run perfectly with my ported and non-ported slides. I ran 115 up to 147 with it as well as 124 +p. No problems. Once the trigger is in stock I will add another recoil spring to the order to replace my OEM one.
